Curtis Named Coach of the Year
Shaw head women’s basketball coach Jacques Curtis
was named the 2003-04 CIAA Coach of the Year.
Curtis in his fourth year as head coach of the Lady Bears, led Shaw to a
perfect 16-0 record in CIAA regular season play. The Lady Bears are 25-2, ranked 11th in the WBCA
ESPN/USA Today Division II Coaches Poll and is ranked #1 in the South Atlantic
Regional Poll.
Last year, Curtis led the Lady Bears to its
best season ever with a 31-3 record, the 2003 CIAA Tournament Championship and
a finish in the 2003 South Atlantic Regional Championship game.
