Curtis and Curtis Named Player and Coach of the Week

Shaw guard Kiarsha Curtis was named CIAA Player of the Week.  The junior from Capital Heights, MD averaged 22 points, five rebounds and two steals helping Shaw to a 3-0 record this week.  Her best game was a career high 33 points in a 74-51 victory over Virginia Union to take over sole possession of first place in the eastern division.  

Head Coach Jacques Curtis was named Coach of the Week after leading the 14-ranked Lady Bears to three victories this week including the victory over Virginia Union.  Saturday's win at Bowie State was Jacques Curtis' first ever win at Bowie State as head coach of Shaw.
