Shaw Announces Women's Tilt

Shaw University has released its 2003-04 women’s basketball schedule.  Like the men, the Lady Bears will also play in three tournaments.  Shaw opens the season in the Red Roof Classic against West Virginia Tech in Montgomery, WV.  The Lady Bears will face West Virginia State the next day in Institute, WV.  That tournament will be followed by the Lvingstone College Classic November 21-22.  The Lady Bears will face St. Andrews and Morris Colleges, respectively.  Shaw's last tournament will be the Team Productions Classic, December 27-28 when the Lady Bears take on Lockhaven and Clarion University's, respectively. 

Shaw opens CIAA play on December 6 when the travel to North Carolina Central.  Shaw's first home game is not until January 8 when they take on North Carolina Central.

Shaw, coached by fourth-year head coach Jacques Curtis, finished last season 31-3, won the CIAA Tournament Championship and finished in the finals of the South Atlantic Regionals (Division II Sweet 16).
