Nick Boney
Assistant Athletic Trainer

Nick Boney begins his fourth year in the athletic department and second year as assistant athletic trainer at Shaw University.  A 1999 graduate of North Carolina Central University, he received his Bachelors degree in Physical Education with the concentration being in athletic training.

Boney works primarily with the men and women basketball teams but is a big part of the athletic training of the football team.  Prior to coming to Shaw, he was assistant athletic trainer with the Raleigh Capital Express, a pro soccer team, from 1998-2000.  Prior to that, Boney did an internship with HEALTHSOUTH in 1998.

A native of Rosehill, NC, Boney is sports safety trainer certified and a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Board of Certification.
