Asst. Coach Laura T. Aker

A former All CIAA standout, selected 4 times to the All-CIAA Softball Team, Coach Aker volunteered to serve as an assistant for the past 5 years. As a senior with the Lady Bears Coach Aker was one of the premier players Coach Dee had the opportunity to coach during her first season at Shaw. “I am very pleased to have her on my staff,” says Coach Dee. 

Aker spends most of her time assisting the outfielders with defensive game play and strategies of the game. She is a 1991 graduate of Shaw University with a BS degree in Business Management.
