CARY, N.C. – The Shaw University women's cross country team competed in the Adidas XC Challenge at the Wake Med Soccer Park course on Friday, September 18th.
The Lady Bears finished sixth in the open division - based on Division II, III and club teams.
Sophomore Jazmina Paris-Morris was the Lady Bears first runner to cross the finish line with a time of 21:03.7 in the 5k race for 78th overall. Junior Merideth Alexander (Atlanta, GA) was 86th for a time of 21:40.0, while junior Muriel Evans (Sumter, SC) was 110th for a time of 23:44.6.
Briona May (Hampton, VA) finished with a time of 23:54.4 (112th), Kyla Sanders (Hampton, VA) finished with a time of 25:51.4 (124th), and Tiffany Martin came in with a time of 28:11.7 (132nd), following ShaTrika Lewis (Oxnard, CA) and Tearra Arrington (Newport News, VA) with times of 29:11.8 and 32.12.7.
The Lady Bears return to the course on September 26th for the 32nd Annual Greensboro Invitational.
