SHAW CROSS COUNTRY SET FOR ADIDAS XC CHALLENGE

RALEIGH, N.C.  – Coming off two top-five finishes in its last two races, the Shaw University men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Cary, N.C., on Friday, September 18th to compete at the Adidas XC Challenge, hosted by North Carolina State.

 

The meet is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. with the men's 8k race followed by the women's 5k run on the course at WakeMed Soccer Park.

 

Last meet, the Bears finished third overall while the Lady Bears crossed the line for a fifth place finish at the Barton College Bulldog Invitational last Friday.

 

Head Cross Country Coach for the men's and women's teams – William Montague earned the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) weekly honors after being named the league's Coach of the Week for both teams on Tuesday, September 15th. The honor was the first of the year on the men's side and his second consecutive week for the accolade on the women's side for the Raleigh, N.C., native.
