Lady Bears Finish Third at ECU Pirate Cross Country Invitational

Shaw finished third at the East Carolina Pirate Invitational held this past weekend.  They were defeated by ECU and Barton College.

Quanika Blackmon was once again the top finisher for the Lady Bears.  She completed the 5k course in a time of 21:03.11 - good for 17th place.  

Moneaque Baker led a small pack of Lady Bears who crossed the finish line in 26th, 27th and 28th places.  She finished with a time of 25:02.07, while Sammara Green finished with a time of 25:16.22 and Sheanika Scales finished with a time of 26:42.39.


The team finished with 79 points, behind East Carolina with 15 and Barton with a total of 53.


The Lady Bears next race at the HBCU Invitational to be held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC on Saturday, October 1.
