LADY BEARS DOWN LIVINGSTONE, 3-0

SALISBURY, NC – The Shaw University women's volleyball team continued it winning track with a 3-0 victory over Livingstone College Tuesday evening. The Lady Bears won by the scores of 25-9, 25-14 and 25-20.

 

The victory improves the Lady Bears overall season record to 14-5, 11-0 in conference play and 5-0 within the division. Livingstone drops to 7-11 overall, 4-8 in the league and 1-5 in the division.

 

Sophomore Kelly Murphy (Mukwango, WI) paced the Lady Bears with 12 kills, while sophomore Keveesha Wattley (St. Croix, VI) and freshman Aisja Jones (Red Oak, TX) both added seven apiece. Sophomore Michelle Olmeda-Gonzalez (San Juan, PR) dished out 30 assists, while senior Tiffany Brooks (Efland, NC) dropped 14 digs in the win.

 

Shaw will travel to Fayetteville State University on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. for a much anticipated divisional matchup.
