RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's tennis team will return to the courts to host Barton College on Monday, Mar. 5. The match will be held at Worthdale Park with a first serve slated for 2 p.m.
Worthdale Park is located on 1001 Cooper Road, Raleigh, N.C. 27610.
The Lady Bears (1-1) have not competed since Feb. 19. In their last outing, Shaw defeated Meredith College, 9-0 for their first victory of the 2018 season at Worthdale Park.
The Barton Lady Bulldogs, a member of the Conference Carolinas Conference (CCC) is coming off a 9-0 setback to Francis Marion on Feb. 28. Barton visits Shaw with a 2-5 overall record and post a 1-1 mark on the road this season.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. Shaw and Barton met last season where the Lady Bears handed the Lady Bulldogs a 6-3 defeat in Wilson, N.C.
Following Monday's match, the Lady Bears will travel to Johnson C. Smith on Tuesday, Mar. 6 at 2 p.m. in Charlotte, N.C.
