LADY BEARS TENNIS TO HOST FAYETTEVILLE STATE TUESDAY
 
RALEIGH, NC – Coming off a 9-0 victory against Livingstone College on Monday, the Shaw University women's tennis team will host Fayetteville State University in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division contest at Worthdale Park Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 1 p.m.
 

Shaw (8-1, 4-0 CIAA, 2-0 Southern Division) will face a Lady Broncos' team that is 1-3 on the year and 1-3 in the conference. The Lady Bears have swept it last three opponents by the score of 9-0 and currently own a six-game winning streak. In FSU's last outing, the Lady Broncos were defeated by Winston-Salem State, 9-0 on Mar. 16.

 

Looking ahead, the Lady Bears will meet defending champions Chowan and Virginia State this weekend at the CIAA Women's Tennis Round-Up held in Murfreesboro, NC. Shaw will face the Hawks Friday, Mar. 25 at 9 a.m. and the Trojans on Saturday at 10 a.m.
