LADY BEARS TENNIS MATCH WITH WINSTON-SALEM STATE SET FOR FRIDAY AT 1 PM

RALEIGH, NC – The Shaw University women's tennis match against Winston-Salem State University is scheduled to take place Friday, Mar. 17 at Worthdale Park. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. The event is free to the public.

 

The Lady Bears (6-1, 2-0 CIAA) will look for its first division win against the Rams of Winston-Salem State (1-4, 0-2 CIAA) Friday after its match with Livingstone originally scheduled for Tuesday had been rescheduled due to the rain.

 

Friday's match will also be the Lady Bears home opener on the season, last year Shaw went undefeated at home with a 7-0 mark. The last time the Lady Bears loss to WSSU was back on Apr. 23, 2011 at the CIAA Tournament Finals. Shaw has won the last nine meetings against the Rams.

 

After Friday's match, Shaw will square off with Livingstone at home on Monday, Mar. 20 at 2 p.m.
