LADY BEARS FALL 2-0 AT TUSCULUM
GREENVILLE, Tenn.  – Shaw University women's soccer fell 2-0 to Tusculum University Tuesday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

 

The loss dips Shaw to 7-2 overall while the Pioneers stand 6-4-2 on the year.

 

Tusculum opened fire with under just five minutes into the first half to take a 1-0 lead. The Pioneers would add another point on a penalty kick goal in the final minute to lead 2-0 over Shaw at halftime.

 

In the second half, Shaw was saw a 10-4 disadvantage in shots as the Pioneers held a 20-7 frame in shots for the game. Freshman Jasa Curry (Ellicott City, MD) and junior Andrea Licea (Ventura, CA) led the way with two shots while junior Caylie Hartman (Commerce City, CO) took the loss, recording 10 saves in 90:00 of action.

 

Shaw will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 14 at Lincoln (Pa.) for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
