FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Shaw University women's bowling finished third overall at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Event I held in Fayetteville, N.C. at the B&B Bowling Lanes Friday, Nov. 10 through Sunday, Nov. 12.
Shaw (6-6) totaled 5,924 pins for the event, including 3,161 Baker total pins. The Lady Bears earned a win over Livingstone day one by the score of 587-579, following a 621-592 victory over Saint Augustine's and a 645-526 defeat over the Lady Blue Bears on Saturday.
In the Baker rounds, Shaw earned a 657-600 decision over SAU, following a 169-96 win over Johnson C. Smith and a 632-541 win over LC.
Fayetteville State claimed the top spot with a total of 9,105 total pins and a 12-0 record while Johnson C. Smith placed second with an overall record of 8-4 and 5,515 pins.

The Lady Bears will return to action on Jan. 26 through Jan. 28 at the CIAA Event II held in Petersburg, Va.
