Demaria Liles Invited to Pro Hoops Free Agent Camp

(Raleigh, NC) – Shaw forward Demaria Liles has been invited to participate in the Pro Hoops Women's Free Agent Camp.  This one-day camp is a showcase for potential professional players and is attended by WNBA coaches and administrators as well as scouts for international teams.

The camp, which is one of many events surrounding the Women's NCAA Division I Final Four, is invitation only and will be held Sunday, April 3 in Indianapolis, IN.  It is sponsored by Merit Management Group.  Liles is the first Shaw player to be invited to the camp, and one of only a few Division II players invited.

"I am thrilled that Demaria has this opportunity to showcase her talents," said Shaw Head Coach Jacques Curtis.  "I know she will make the most of this camp and be an outstanding representative of Shaw."

Liles (6-1, Sr., Suitland, MD) averaged 15.1 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game in 14 games for the Lady Bears.  She had nine double-doubles.   Shaw was 12-2 in the games she played, winning the CIAA championship, the NCAA Atlantic Region and advancing to the Division II Final Four.
