RALEIGH, NC – After two weeks off from competition, the Shaw University men's tennis team will face the Trojans of Virginia State University Sunday, Mar. 26 in Murfreesboro, NC for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up.
In their last outing, the Bears (0-3) suffered a 7-2 loss to Barton College back on Mar. 5. Shaw will look to snap a three-game skid and get it first win against the Trojans Sunday.
VSU (4-3) stands 1-0 in the CIAA. The Trojans recently defeated rival Virginia Union on Mar. 19 by the score of 9-0. The Bears have won its last nine meetings against VSU dating back to 2013-14.
Following Sunday's match, Shaw will travel to Charlotte, NC to face Johnson C. Smith (0-6) on Tuesday, Mar. 28. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
