RALEIGH, N.C. – Shaw University men's soccer team will travel to face Mars Hill on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. This will be the first ever meeting between the two institutions in program history, as the Bears will look to add to its win column.
Shaw (4-6-1) is coming off a 5-0 victory over Piedmont International on Monday. Five different Bears scored in the contest as Shaw accounted for 26 total shots and 10 on goal.
Senior Thilo Wilke (Karlstadt, Germany) with five goals on the season leads the Bears offensively while freshman Theo Delaleu (Les Essarts Le Roi, France) is the team's leading goalkeeper with 36 saves and an overall record of 2-3-1.
The Lions (3-7-2) are coming off a 1-1 draw against Newberry on Wednesday. Mars Hill recorded 14 total shots and one on goal. Sebastian Bertilsson has a team-high five goals while Brian Salzman is 5-5-1 on the year with 49 saves at the goalkeeper position.
Following Saturday's clash, Shaw will travel to Mid-Atlantic Christian on Oct. 22 at 4:30 p.m.
