RALEIGH, N.C. – Former men's basketball student-athlete Koron Reed will begin his professional career overseas. The former two-year starter signed a contract with KK Vogosca in Vogosca, Bosnia last week. The KK Vogosca is in the Europe League of the Bosinian A1 League.
The 6-foot-7 forward signed with the London Lightning as the fifth overall pick in the NBL Canada draft two years ago.
Reed played two season for Bears men's basketball program, averaging 7.41 points and 5.67 rebounds per outing during his junior season (2013-14). As a senior, the Philadelphia, Pa., native tallied 11.41 points per contest and 8.93 boards per outing in 29 games played and 27 starts in 2014-15.
Prior to Shaw, Reed attended Hampton University where he competed in 54 games and finished with a total of 96 points and 71 rebounds.
Reed earned a degree in Recreation Management from Shaw in 2015.
