RALEIGH, NC – The Shaw University doubleheader basketball contest versus Lincoln (Pa.) University game times originally scheduled for Monday, Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. in C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium has been changed to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The Lady Bears (3-11, 0-3 CIAA) will look for its first conference win on the season when they welcome the Lady Lions of Lincoln (3-10, 1-3 CIAA) to Spaulding. Shaw is coming off a 91-64 loss to No. 3 Virginia Union last Thursday. Junior LaQuisha Taylor (Charlotte, NC) dropped 21 points in her season debut while senior Imani Heggings (Chesapeake, VA) added 10 points.
The Lady Lions are also coming off a loss Thursday. LU dropped a 62-53 decision at Fayetteville State led by Diamond Mickle who charted 12 points and 10 rebounds while Teira Pendleton and She'cquan Bailey tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively.
This will be the first meeting between the two squads this season, Shaw defeated Lincoln last year 76-67 on Jan. 11, 2016.
On the men's side, the Bears (5-7, 1-3, CIAA) enter Monday's contest looking to snap a ()-game skid after suffer its fourth buzzer beater on the season against Virginia Union Thursday night. Senior Benji Bell (Gainesville, FL) led Shaw in scoring with a game-high 21 points while junior DeAngelo Stephens-Bell (Jacksonville, FL) added 10 points.
The Lions (3-10, 2-2 CIAA) defeated Fayetteville State, 75-72 in overtime last Thursday behind Malachi Seney's 21 points. LU had three other players' net double digits in scoring including Cameron Campbell and Sean James who both charted 15 points apiece and Umar Saaba finishing with 10 points.
The last time these two teams met was during the 2015-16 season where Shaw defeated Lincoln, 88-61 on Jan. 11, 2016.
Following Monday's action, Shaw will host Bowie State University on Wednesday, Jan. 11 in Spaulding. The women's tip will be scheduled at 6 p.m. and the men's tipoff at 8 p.m.
