Darnell Evans Named Preseason All-American

RALEIGH, N.C. - Shaw's Darnell Evans was today named a first team All-American in USA Football News' 20th annual preseason All-Americans list. 

Evans (Jr., 5-9, 181, DB, Madison, NJ) was tied for 12^th in NCAA's Division II with six interceptions and had a total of 35 tackles on the season.  The cornerback also had six pass breakups.  Evans was named a Third-Team All-American after his freshman season.

The Bears are set to hold their pre-season scrimmage Saturday, August, 18 at 2:00 pm at Chavis Park in Raleigh, NC.  The Bears will open the 2012 season on the road Thursday, August 30 in Charleston, WV, as they take on the University of Charleston.
