Shaw To Hold Preseason Scrimmage Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C.  - The Shaw football team will hold its annual preseason scrimmage on Saturday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Chavis Park.  The event is free and open to the public.

The scrimmage will give Bear fans a chance to see the team as it prepares for the 2012 campaign under first-year head coach Robert Massey. 

Players and coaches will have media availability at the end of the scrimmage, which should conclude around 3:30.

Shaw will open the 2012 season on Thursday, August 30 when they travel to take on Charleston (WV).  They return home for a game against Miles College on Saturday, September 8 at Durham County Memorial Stadium.

Chavis Park is located at 599 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Southeast Raleigh.
