Shaw Ranked Eighth In NCAA Regional Poll

(RALEIGH, NC)- Shaw ranked eighth in today's NCAA Super One Regional Football Poll.

Shaw - 7-2 overall, 6-0 in the CIAA and 7-1 in Division II play – is ranked just behind Saint Augustine's in seventh and two spots ahead of Winston-Salem State. Shaw beat WSSU 31-27 Saturday.

The poll is used to determine participation in the NCAA tournament. No conference gets an automatic bid unless the conference representative is ranked in the top eight of the final super regional poll.

This coming Saturday, Shaw will travel to Saint Augustine's in a game that will determine the Southern Division title and the spot in the CIAA Championship game. Kickoff is at 4:00 p.m. at Broughton High School.
