KENDALL AND GRANT NAMED ALL-CIAA CHEERLEADERS

RALEIGH, NC – Senior Erica Kendall and junior Ravon Grant of the Shaw University Chi-Chi's cheerleading squad has been selected to the All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) cheerleading team.

 

Along with other All-CIAA cheerleader selections, Kendall and Grant will be introduced during the "Super Saturday" festivities on Feb. 25 at the Spectrum Center during the 2017 CIAA Basketball Tournament.

 

Under the leadership of Head Coach Cocoa Dixon, the All-CIAA cheerleaders were chosen based on his/her overall performance, leadership skills, athletic accomplishments, and community involvement. In addition, the All-CIAA cheerleader has participated in at least 75 percent of the team's regular season games and practices and has maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

 

A native of Rockingham, NC, Kendall is majoring in psychology while Grant, a two-time All-CIAA cheerleader is a native of Hardeeville, SC and is majoring in elementary education. Both cheerleaders are captains of the Chi-Chi's and have demonstrated leadership on and off the cheer platform.
