Notes/Clarifications:

The Lady Jaguars are coming off a 2002-03 season in which they won 19 games -- their most victories in seven seasons -- and made the program's first-ever postseason appearance when they received an at-large bid to the NCAA South Atlantic Regional at Catawba College ... ASU also captured the Peach Belt Conference North Division regular-season championship, the first title of any kind for the Lady Jags since the joining the league for the 1991-92 season ... ASU, which welcomes back just four returnees, lost three starters and four of their top six scorers from that squad, including leading scorer and first-team All-Peach Belt Conference selection Sabrina Jones ... The departure of Jones, combined with the loss of "Boz" Sijercic, who averaged 10.0 ppg. in her only season as a Lady Jag after transferring from Hawaii, left a huge hole in the ASU frontcourt that had to be addressed in recruiting ... The frontcourt duo combined for 25 points and 13 rebounds and led the team in scoring in 19 of 29 games.

Quoting ASU Head Coach Greg Wilson:

"We addressed our recruiting needs on the perimeter and in the middle. This class is extremely talented, but the question is, will we be able to have the great chemistry that was the trademark of last year's team. As always, it's up to our seniors to provide us with effective leadership to get us where we need to be to compete in the Peach Belt Conference, a league that seems to get tougher every year."
