Results from CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships 2-13-05

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Shaw women's Indoor Track and Field team placed fifth, whilethe men placed sixth at the 2005 CIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Christopher Newport University. 

Freshman Khamiya Smith captured an individual conference title by winning the women's high jump with a jump of 5-2, on her way to earning All-CIAA honors. 

The Women's Distance Medley team of Patricia Beckham, Lisa Stewart, Kristin Gilliam and Tania Coleman finished third and all four members were named All-CIAA as well.

The Shaw women placed fifth as a team with 25 points.  

On the men's side Jeffrey Jackson came in second overall in the 800 meters and was named All-CIAA.
