Following their post-game meal, they made one important and deliberate stop. They delivered boxed lunches to the Men’s Homeless Shelter on South Wilmington Street.
Track team members Delilah Badgett, Ashley Bledsoe, Joi Briscoe, Raykeisha Toomer, Cherell Williams, Quenchia Crowder, Clyde Armstrong, Jared Arnold, Troy Dolby, Paul Graham, Terry Grey, Craig Perkins, Eric Raines, William Robinson, Clinton Rogers, Ryan Walker, Vitalis Wekheye and Coach William Montague were all present in delivering the boxed lunches. The lunches were compliments of Thompson Hospitality. Coach Montague stated, “I said who could be more deserving of these boxed lunches than those individuals who are not as fortunate as we are.” About twenty men feasted on the boxed lunches which included hoagies, chips, apples and drinks. “One of our priorities as a program has been to become more involved in our community.”
