MEN’S TENNIS CONTINUES CIAA WINNING STREAK

April 3, 2008 – Raleigh, NC – Just before precipitation picked up to possibly postpone play, the Shaw University Men’s Tennis Team routed their rivals, the Saint Augustine’s College Falcons, 9 – 0 to increase their winning streak to seven.  The Western Division Champions now have a record of 9 – 4 Overall and 7 – 0 CIAA.

In doubles competition, Shaw won the first and third match by a score of 8 – 0. The Bears mounting momentum flooded into singles competition as the home team shutout Saint Augustine’s with scores of 6 – 0, 6 – 0 in five of the six matches.
