With football being reinstituted in 2002, Shaw University further made a commitment to football and athletics by constructing a locker room/weight room complex. Shaw football players will enjoy the newly built locker room complex. Conveniently located in the Main Men's Dormitory on main campus, the 5,461 square-foot complex was completed in February 2003. From the wood lockers to the maroon-carpeted hallways the two-floor complex is very attractive.

The locker room is located on the second level. It houses a separate therapy room with two whirlpools, a training room which has four treatment tables, three taping tables and rehabilitation equipment, an equipment room, 92 lockers and a conference room and film room.

The weight room, located on the lower level, has eight multi-power stations that allow each student-athlete to perform 15 different exercises at one station. This causes athletes to work more without having to rotate.
