Shaw quarterback Jermonty Kimbrough, free safety Torrance Nunnally and offensive tackle Courtney Safford were named CIAA Players of the Week. 

Kimbrough, who was also named D2Football.com's honorable mention National Player of the Week and Don Hansen's Special Honor Player of the Week, was named CIAA Offensive Back of the Week  The freshman from Mobile, AL had his second-straight game of more than 400 yards of total offense.  He completed 27-of-46 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns and one interception, while rushing 15 times for 116 yards in the 28-17 homecoming victory over Virginia St.  He had 439 yards of total offense after having 449 yards of total offense last week.

It had been a long time coming for Nunnally who has played excellent at free safety all season for the Bears.  The freshman from Danville, VA was named Defensive Back of the Week after recording 11 tackles and one tackle for loss against Virginia State.

For Safford, this is his third time being named CIAA Offensive Lineman of the Week.  He helped Shaw to 524 yards of total offense and is tied with Shaw center Robert Rhodes for the most Offensive Lineman of the Week awards.
