The accolades continue to pile up for Shaw quarterback Jermonty Kimbrough as he was named D2Football.com's Offensive Player of the Week.  Khaleel Sutherland was named to the honorable mention defensive team.

Kimbrough (5-10, 170), a freshman from Mobile, AL, had a special day in the 41-17 victory over Elizabeth City State this past Saturday.  He tallied 449 of Shaw's 459 yards of total offense and accounted for all six of Shaw's touchdowns.  He completed 21-of-40 passes for 379 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions and carried the ball 14 times for 70 yards and two touchdowns.

Sutherland (6-1, 170), a freshman from Hollywood, FL had two interceptions, three passes defended and a fumble recovery.

This is the second time this year that a Shaw player has named D2Football.com's Player of the Week.  In September, Shawn Woodard was named Defensive Player of the Week after his four interceptions in the 21-7 win over Edward Waters.  Shaw has had four players named to the team as Walif Campbell was also named honorable mention in September after the victory over Edward Waters.
