(.687%) record. In just three years, Clark has become one of the top young
coaches in the country, guiding SU to a CIAA Eastern Division second place
finish in 2003 and in 2004 winning the CIAA title and the Pioneer Bowl.

Clark was named head coach on September
3, 2003 and the 7-3 finish his first season was the Bears best record in 33
years. Clark is a 1993 graduate of Florida State and a native of Winter
Garden, FL. He was a standout defensive lineman for the Seminoles and
legendary Coach Bobby Bowden. Present N.C. State head coach Chuck Amato was
his position coach during his days at Florida State. During his collegiate
career at FSU they won four Bowl games and had an impressive 42-7 record.
FSU never finished less than #4 in the national AP rankings during his
career.
In 2002, Clark was SU’s defensive coordinator and prior to his tenure at SU, he was the defensive line coach at Benedict College (2001-02). Prior to Benedict he was a graduate assistant at Michigan State (200-01 and Central Michigan (1999-2000). He earned his master’s of arts degree from Central Michigan in 2003.
