SHAW’S PAZDRY RECEIVES NATIONAL FOOTBALL HONOR
November 1, 2007 –
North Aurora,
IL – The Bear’s Oliver
Pazdry (#74 / Offensive Lineman / 6 – 4 / 310 lbs / Junior / Business
Administration) can add another career highlight to his
statistical profile. Pazdry was chosen as one of 15 players honored as a
NCAA Division II National Player of the Week for the week ending October
29, 2007. The prestigious honor is an anticipated and much respected
release from Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette.
The honor stems from Pazdry’s outstanding performance in Shaw’s recent victory over Bowie State University; in which he aided the Bears in accumulating 419 total yards of offense (264 rushing yards, 155 passing yards) including one rushing touchdown. This is the Brooklyn, NY native’s second time being recognized with this honor as he was a Don Hansen National Gazette Player of the Week on the week ending October 14, 2007 after Pazdry helped the Bears cap a four game winning streak with a 35 – 7 victory over Livingstone College as they totaled 402 offensive yards on 70 plays; which included three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.
