SHAW BEARS DEF EDWARD WATERS EAGLES

 

 Junior quarterback Jermonty Kimbrough paced the Bears with 248 total offensive yards and a solid  SU defensive effort held the Edward Waters Eagles to 198 total offensive yards in a 24-6 win. 
 

Kimbrough completed 13 of 31 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns and senior running back Dion McIver rushed for 90 yards on 15 carries.  Receivers Mark Branson, Reginald Price and Anthony Frost each had touchdown receptions of 41, 21 and 37 yards respectively.  Bransom was his key receiver with four receptions for 68 yards. 
 

Terrence Ford, who was in the Bears offensive backfield in 2004, made the transition to the linebacker position standout with his biggest day of the season.  Ford led all tacklers with 17, including eight for 30 yards in losses and two quarterback sacks for -13 yards.
