Clark Announces Football Signees

Shaw head football coach Deondri Clark has announced the 2004 Shaw University football signees.  This is Clark’s first class as head coach at Shaw University.  Under Clark, Shaw finished the 2003 season with a 7-3 overall record, 4-3 in the CIAA’s eastern division in its first season in the conference in 25 years.         

“We are very excited about the incoming recruiting class,” said Clark.  “We have addressed most of our needs and upgraded other needs.  We have gotten bigger, faster and stronger.  We have also recruited a couple of players who have the potential to qualify for the presidential scholar award.  We feel as though we have upgraded the overall program.”
