The accolades and all-star games continue to
pileup for All-American senior linebacker Chris Peavy.
Peavy has been invited to play in the prestigious Las Vegas
All-American Classic, which will take place Saturday January 22
at 36,000-seat Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. This
game is normally for Division I players and Peavy is one of a
handful of non-Division I players selected to play in this
game.
The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net and pits 110 of the
top athletes in the nation in an East vs. West format and the
game has been dubbed "America's Largest College All-Star
Football Game." Peavy will also participate in the
HBCU All-Star Classic just five days earlier in New Orleans.
The Syracuse, NY native had an outstanding season, anchoring the Bears defense which was ranked number one in the nation in total defense. Peavy, also a finalist for the Harlon Hill Award for the best player in Division II, led the Bears in tackles (124), tackles for loss (24), sacks (6) and fumble recoveries (4), while also being named first team All-CIAAand Daktronic's All-American.
