Coleman Named Player of the Week

For his performance in Shaw's 30-28 win in the Pioneer Bowl, defensive end David Coleman was named Pizza Hut's d2football.com Player of the Week.  The junior from Miami, FL recorded six tackles on the day, three which were solo.  Five of the tackles were for a losses totaling seven yards.  In addition, he recorded four quarterback hurries.  Coleman finishes the season with 20 tackles, 11 for loss and five sacks.

Dion McIver was named honorable mention Player of the Week.  The Lillington, NC native and first team All-CIAA performer had 21 carries for 123 yards.  McIver finishes the season with 287 carries for 1,168 and eight touchdowns and a 4.1 yard per carry average.
