Shaw head coach Gregory Ruffin has announced the 2003 Shaw University football signees.  This is the first official class at Shaw University in 25 years.  Shaw will begin play this season in the CIAA for the first time since 1978.  The Bears went 7-3 during last year’s club season.

“We are very excited about the incoming recruiting class,” said Ruffin.  “We had a dire need to get faster and with this class we feel as though we’ve accomplished that.  We’ve signed some individuals in different areas that we expect to play immediately.  We feel as though we didn’t sign anyone that couldn’t contribute immediately.”
