WSHA to Broadcast Eight Shaw Football Games
Shaw University’s campus radio station, WSHA
88.9-FM, will be the flagship station for eight of Shaw’s
football games for the 2003 season.
WSHA will broadcast the first game of the season as the
Bears open at home against Livingstone on August 30.
WSHA will then broadcast Shaw football in back-to-back
weeks as the Bears take on St. Augustine’s and Edward Waters
(Willie E. Gary Classic) September 20 and 27, respectively.
WSHA will again broadcast on October 11 as the Bears take
on Bowie State. In
consecutive weeks the station will broadcast October 18 against
Virginia Union, October 25 against Elizabeth City State,
November 1 against Virginia State and November 8 against Webber
International.
Fans not in the WSHA listening area, wishing to listen to the game, can go to www.shawbears.com and click on the WSHA logo. The pre-game show will air 30 minutes before game time.
WSHA
reaches over 500,000 households in the Triangle and beyond and
recently became a 50,000-watt station in June.
