LAWRENCEVILLE, VA – James Rosebud led
Shaw with 13 points and 11 rebounds as the Bears rolled past St. Paul’s 79-49
at Taylor-Whitehead Gymnasium, The margin of victory was Shaw’s largest of
the season.
Shaw played its most dominant game of the season.
Shaw forced St. Paul’s into 15 first half turnovers in leading 36-24
at halftime.
The Bears (5-13, 3-2, 2-1) shot 50 percent
from the field in the second half, while limiting the Tigers to 36 percent in
the half and 38 percent for the game and forcing 23 turnovers.
John Kornegay was key off the bench scoring
13 points. Shahumaad Jones led the
Tigers with 14 points.
Shaw
will host Fayetteville State on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Spaulding Gymnasium.
