Terrence Christian led Shaw with 18 points as the Bears defeated Fayetteville State 87-67 at Spaulding Gymnasium.

Brad Deshazor's three-pointer with 8 minutes, 48 seconds remaining put Fayetteville State ahead 27-18.  But the Bears fought hard as they've done all season long and used an 9-0 run started by a Christian three-point play, fueled by four points from Willie Williams and ending with  a James Rosebud jumper to tie the score at 27-27 at the 5:22 mark of the first half.  Shaw held a 37-34 halftime lead.

Shaw (6-13, 4-4) shot 61 percent from the field in the second half as Terrence Christian's lay-up with 16:56 remaining put the Bears ahead 46-37.  The closest Fayetteville State (6-12, 3-5) would come after that point would be within five points 46-41 on a lay-up by Phillipe Harris with 15:17 remaining.

Rosebud recorded his third-straight double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.   Nate Aaron had 15 points and Daniel Jackson recorded 14 points.  Deshazor led the Broncos with 14 points.

Shaw will play at Livingstone On Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
