MURRAY PACE BEARS OVER BENEDICT WITH 32

Atlanta, GA
- Senior All American Candidate Ronald Murray (G/Philadelphia, PA scored 32 points and led the Shaw University Bears to a 84-49 win over Benedict College in the first game of the Ricky Williams Classic. The 5-0 Bears will take on Clark Atlanta tonight at 8:00 pm in their second game of the Classic.

The Bears cross town CIAA rival, St. Augustine’s College defeated Clark Atlanta in Friday’s second game 83-75. The Falcons and Benedict will meet this evening in the first game at 6:00 pm.

Murray also finished with seven rebounds, four assist and three steals. Joining Murray in double figures was junior guard J.R. Raymond (Gastonia, NC) with 20 points and All American Candidate Steve Bynes (C/Ft. Lauderdale, FL) with 13 points. Bynes also had 11 rebounds giving him his third double - double of the season.

The Bears led all game building a 15-point lead at halftime 37-22 and cruised in the second half building a lead of 30 with less than four minutes left.
