MEN’S BASKETBALL JAM INTO UPCOMING SEASON

October 25, 2007 – Raleigh, NC – Head Coach Robert Brickey and assistant coaches promptly packed C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium to maximum capacity for their interactive introduction of the 2007 – 2008 Shaw University Men’s Basketball Team. The “Thursday Night Throwdown” kept onlookers active and engaged with pre-show contests of a three-point shootout and a slam dunk jam-a-thon. Coaches elevated the excitement and expression of “SHAW U” pride even more when they joined participating spectators in learning the latest hip-hop dances moves. The team was evenly divided as they played in an inter-squad scrimmage. After stimulated play, the coaches reserved the remainder of the night for game situational play in which the Bears exemplified to fans not only their athletic ability, but their mental skill to secure the basketball and/or score with little time left on the game clock.
