Men Picked to Finish Third in the East; Greenup Named to Preseason Team

The Shaw men's basketball team is picked to finish third in the CIAA's eastern division, while star forward Anthony Greenup was named to the preseason All-CIAA team.

Shaw finished third in the eastern division last year with a 21-9 overall record, 11-5 in the CIAA under first year head coach Michael Bernard.  The Bears advanced to the semi-finals of the South Atlantic Regional.

Greenup (6-8, 220), a native of Baton Rouge, LA, led the NCAA in field goal percentage, shooting 71 percent from the field.  He was the team's second leading scorer and rebounder averaging 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
