Brandon Smith led off the game with a walk, the stole second. A single by
Kelvin White moved Smith to third. Jermaine Roger's sacrifice fly to

reached on an error and the floodgates opened as Shaw committed five errors and
two passed balls in the inning. With Sam Martin on first and Matt Johnson on
second, Nichols homered over the fence in right-centerfield to give the Trojans
a 7-0 lead.

four innings. Blake Montgomery and Jason Sharp combined to pitch four
shutout innings, allowing only one hit.
