Sanders Named Player of the Week; sanders gets coach of the week

Shaw outfielder/pitcher William Sanders was named CIAA Player of the Week.  The sophomore from Clayton, NC went 13-for24 with 1 HR, 14 RBI and 4 SB.  He also had a slugging percentage of 1.083.

Shaw head baseball coach Bobby Sanders was named CIAA Coach of the week after the Bears went 3-1 against conference opponents.
