Shaw Loses to Coker
The Shaw baseball team dropped a 10-4
decision to Coker College at Lyons Park. The Bears trailed
1-0 in the first inning as Conrad Deese's two-out RBI single
drove in Ben Kelshner. Coker led 3-0 at its end of the
second.
The Bears (4-7) would get on the board in the second inning as a William Sanders RBI single drove in Jermaine Rogers. Travis Salley tried to score from second base on the play, but was thrown out at home and the Bears trailed 3-1, which would be as close as they would get.
Rodney Barr, Rogers and James Clay each had two hits a-piece. Robb Christianson and Dustin Docter had three hits a-piece.
