(Raleigh, NC) – Shaw All-America cornerback Quintez Smith (CB, Dublin, GA) was today named to the SBN Black College All-American Team. The team is composed of players from Division I-FCS and Division II HBCUs. Smith was one of only three Division II players, and the only player from the CIAA, named to the team. [more]

Quintez Smith (left) led both teams in tackles in the East Coast Bowl - an All-Star game for football players in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Smith had 13 tackles on the day (eight solo and five assists). Shaw teammate Isaiah Thomas (right) had five tackles (one solo and four assists. [more]

Shaw cornerback Quintez Smith continued to amass honors. Both the American Football Coaches Association and Daktronics, Inc. voted him First Team All-America.
